Mr. Ilya Frangos graduated with a Bachelors degree in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley and received his Juris Doctorate Degree in 2008 from UC Hastings College of the Law.  During law school, Mr. Frangos received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in his Trial Advocacy class and was nominated for having the Best Brief in his Appellate Advocacy Class.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Galine, Frye & Fitting as an attorney, Mr. Frangos worked with the District Attorneys’ office in San Mateo and San Francisco where he gained valuable and extensive courtroom experience.  Mr. Frangos also practiced general civil litigation, specifically in the areas of real estate, contract disputes, and personal injury.

As an associate with the Law Offices of Galine, Frye, & Fitting, Mr. Frangos focuses on the areas of personal injury and bad faith insurance cases.  He is an ardent advocate for his client’s needs.  In a recent binding arbitration award, Mr. Frangos successfully recovered $165,000 for his client when the defense had offered him $0 to settle the case.

Mr. Frangos also currently serves as a JAG officer in the California State Military Reserve, which serves in assisting civil authorities during domestic emergencies and assisting in the mobilization and demobilization process of the National Guard.  In his spare time, Mr. Frangos is actively involved in his community by coaching a local high school basketball team and teaching Greek to children and adults.
